After all the legal drama surrounding rapper, 21 Savage, not being an American citizen, the 26 year-old is finally free from ICE….for now. Savage was released today on bond, and was given the opportunity to go back to Atlanta, and in style. An image surfaced with the British-born rapper, and his mother boarding a private jet, after being detained for over a week.
Sadly, 21 Savage could still be deported.
If you recall, the rapper was arrested on Super Bowl Sunday, by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for overstaying his visa in United States. He, however claimed to have applied for an U-Visa in 2017, that would have allowed him to stay, legally.
Since his arrest, several A-list celebrities and artistes like Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Offset, Cardi B, Jesse Williams, T.I. and several others, have shown their support for the artiste.
But even though he and his lawyers are currently rejoicing his release, they may have a bigger battle ahead, as his expedited deportation hearing is set for April 11, 2019. Oh boy🤔.
