The sting operation caught many off guard, as the purpose was to find which wealthy parents, allegedly paid bribes to get their children into top colleges across the U.S. However, the operation became very public, very quickly when two high profile actresses were discovered to be a part of the ring.
Since then several celebrities have shared their opinions on the matter. One actor, Rob Lowe, threw major shade at the actresses tweeting out, “Very proud of my honest, hardworking sons.”
“Dawson Creek” actor James Van Der Beek also responded to ABC tweet about the situation, “If only there was a succinct turn of phrase these kids could have used to inform their parents they were not desirous of their life path.” White House counselor Kellyanne Conway even took a jab against the actress saying, “They worried their daughters are as stupid as their mothers.”
