What do you think happened when a European royal and an American “royal” join forces?…A masterpiece that’s what! Philanthropist and television mogul, Oprah Winfrey, and the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry will be working together on something big.
According to an Instagram post from the Sussex royal account, Oprah and the Prince are going to be co-producers of a upcoming TV-series on the newly established, Apple TV.
The docuseries is said to focus on mental health issues as well as “inspire the viewer to have a honest conversation. Rumors even have it that the show could shed some light on the death of Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.
The Instagram post read,
“We are excited to announce that The Duke of Sussex and Oprah Winfrey are partners, co-creators and executive producers on their forthcoming mental health series launching on Apple in 2020. The pair has been developing the series for several months and are looking forward to sharing such an important project on this
They continued to explain that health series is to empower and support those with mental health issues. The message ended with a quote from the Prince himself saying,
“Our hope is that this series will be positive, enlightening and inclusive — sharing global stories of unparalleled human spirit fighting back from the darkest places, and the opportunity for us to understand ourselves and those around us better. I am incredibly proud to be working alongside Oprah on this vital series.”
Oprah later responded saying,
“Delighted to be partnering with you. Hope we shed a lot of light. And change some lives!”
