Julien Assange, the founder of Wikileaks which is an international non-profit organisation that publishes news leaks, was recently arrested in London by the Metropolitan Police Service.

According to reports, Assange is being held by the London authorities, after spending seven years at the Ecuadorian embassy, for not surrendering to the court in June 2012, for his extradition to Sweden. He had been a refugee at the embassy, which provided him with asylum against certain arrests, until it was revoked recently.

However, that was not the end of his arrests as he was indicted once again by the US Federal government in Virginia for conspiracy to commit computer intrusion. Sources revealed that he is being slammed with charges of, “password-cracking” with former intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, conspiracy to hack and leak documents, as well as breach of bail conditions.

Assange had been unmasked as one of the culprits in leaking highly classified information last year and has been wanted by the U.S Justice Department ever since. Still, he had been untouchable, under his asylum in London.

The Ecuadorian president issued a statement as to why his asylum was withdrawn saying,

“In a sovereign decision, Ecuador withdrew the asylum status to Julian Assange after his repeated violation to international conventions and daily-life protocols”.

He continued,

“He has confronted and mistreated the guards. He had accessed the security files of our embassy without permission. He claimed to be isolated and rejected the internet connection offered by the embassy, and yet he had a mobile phone with which he communicated with the outside world.”

However, he assured the viewers that,

“In line with our strong commitment to human rights and international law, I requested Great Britain guarantee that Mr. Assange would not be extradited to a country where he could face torture or the death penalty”.

In a video clip of his arrest, Julien Assange could be seen getting dramatically dragged from the embassy, by what looks like a group men, head first screaming at the onlookers,

“The UK must resist the attempt by the Trump Administration!”.

We are told one of the main reasons for his behavior toward being indicted by the United States is due to the fact that he may have been served with the death penalty for his crimes.

Since his arrest, many have voiced their opinion about the situation. Pamela Anderson in particular has come to Assange’s defense saying,

“He looks very bad. How could you Ecuador? (Because he exposed you). How could you UK.? Of course – you are America’s bitch and you need a diversion from your idiotic Brexit bulls***t“.

Story developing.
