Come one, come all! It definitely seems like a free for all at this point, as the Mayor of New York City, Bill De Blasio, is the most recent democrat to join the race to be the democratic nominee for the United States Presidential Election in 2020.

The 58 year-old “beloved” public advocate, announced his presidential campaign earlier today, with the slogan, Working People First”. His proposed agenda includes PreK for all, paid sick leave and an increased minimum wage of $15 an hour. (How creative ๐Ÿ˜’).

The announcement was made via his Youtube channel, with him saying,

Iโ€™m Bill de Blasio and Iโ€™m running for president because itโ€™s time we put working people first.” “As president, I will take on the wealthy, I will take on the big corporations, I will not rest until this government serves working people.

This announcement makes Bill the 24th potential “democratic candidate” in the race, along with;

Michael Bennet, Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Steve Bullock, Pete Buttigieg, Juliรกn Castro, John Delaney, Tulsi Gabbard, Kirsten Gillibrand, Mike Gravel, Kamala Harris, John Hickenlooper, Jay Inslee, Amy Klobuchar, Wayne Messam, Seth Moulton, Beto O’Rourke, Tim Ryan, Bernie Sanders, Eric Swalwell, Elizabeth Warren, Marianne Williamson, Andrew Yang.

Bill has yet to stand out for many potential voters, as he is running with a record as Mayor of New York, a city with the highest homeless rate in the US. In fact, while he was making his first TV appearance since making his announcement, protestors were outside chanting, “Liar” outside the studio.

Donald Trump must be stopped. Iโ€™ve beaten him before and Iโ€™ll do it again,” he said.

However, with even more criticism falling on him and the president belittling him as a “beauty,” how could he possibly out rank the other twenty plus candidates who are already on the campaign trail?

Guess we will just have to wait and see. The race has just begun and it is anybody’s win right now. The question remains; who will be the man or woman to defeat President Trump? I guess we will just have to wait and see. Who do you think will be the democratic nominee for president of the United States?
