If you tuned into Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors, you would have seen none other than basketball star, Kevin Durant, on the court despite his previous leg injury.
Although he gave his team, the Warriors, a good lead, it came at a painful cost. During the game, Durant ruptured his Achilles tendon, with the pained muscle shooting up his right leg. He was carried back to the locker room shortly after.
Today, Kevin Durant finally gave his fans a peace of mind, posting a picture on his Instagram of him in a hospital bed after his surgery. He captioned the picture saying,
“Surgery was today and it was a success, EASY MONEY. My road back starts now! I got my family and my loved ones by my side and we truly appreciate all the messages and support people have sent our way.”

As many of you may know, during the game, some of the Raptors’ fans in the stand could be seen cheering while fans of Golden State almost immediately blamed the coaches and managers for putting Durant in the game. Gladly, he cleared it all up stating that,
“Basketball is my biggest love and I wanted to be out there that night because that’s what I do. I wanted to help my teammates on our quest for the three peat.”
He also shared that though he won’t be able to play, he will be cheering for his teammates and is confident that the Warriors will win.
