After two long weeks of watching and waiting on the basketball games, the Toronto Raptors have finally won the 2019 NBA Finals, crushing the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors.

If you watched last night’s game, you would’ve seen Game 6 of the NBA finals, with the Warriors aiming to win to force a Game 7. The Raptors were hoping to end it all then and there (which they did) with the MVP, Kawhi Leonard, making the winning shot. The final score…114-110. This win marks Toronto’s first NBA championship win, which is a bit ironic sunce basketball was created by a Canadian, James Naismith.

Fans of the Raptors’ team could be seen celebrating even before the game was over, from the 111-110 score with only 0.9 seconds on the clock, with drinks and streamers and confetti, in Jurassic Park. However, there would be no Raptors celebration without, their #1 cheerleader and partner, superstar, Drake.

Drake posted a series of images to his Instagram, first of the trophy and the teams’ win, leading up to the him wearing a Raptors jersey and holding the trophy to his head.

Both teams have played well all season long but with the loss of the small forward player Kevin Durant during game 5 and then shooting guard, Klay Thompson, tearing his ACL in the 3rd quarter, things were not looking well for the Warriors.

Regardless, it was a great game guys! Congratulations Toronto Raptors!🎉🎊🏆🏀
