She revealed in the magazine interview her struggles coping with Mac’s death, saying that,

โ€œItโ€™s pretty all-consumingBy no means was what we had perfect, but, like, f**k. He was the best person ever, and he didnโ€™t deserve the demons he had. I was the glue for such a long time, and I found myself becoming . . . less and less sticky. The pieces just started to float away.”

She continued,

They didnโ€™t see the years of work and fighting and trying, or the love and exhaustion. That tweet came from a place of complete defeat, and you have no idea how many times I warned him that that would happen and fought that fight, for how many years of our friendship, of our relationship. You have no idea so youโ€™re not allowed to pull that card, because you donโ€™t f**king know. Thatโ€™s where that came from.โ€

Along with the emotions, she even revealed that she hardly remembers her record breaking song, “Thank You, Next”, due to her grief. As many of you may recall, Grande wrote this song shortly after ending her engagement with Pete Davidson and the death of rapper, Mac Miller. Still, the singer stated that her experiences have helped her grow in some ways.

However, the main question on everyone’s mind is, “When did Ariana get black?”. According to sources, Ariana’s darker/really tanned skin tone which made its debut on the magazine cover has left many of her fans in shock.
