After making millions off of rapping about dealing with illegal drugs, rap mogul JayZ is reentering the drug business, but this time he’s doing it legally.
San Jose company, Caliva released a statement where they announced the 49 year old as their newest long term partner. The California weed dispensary will have ‘Hov’ focusing on outreach and the creative aspect of the brand.
“We want to create something amazing, have fun in the process, do good and bring people along the way,” the billionaire rapper stated.
It was not too long ago that we published Jay’s entry into the billionaire boy’s club, as Forbes named him the first billionaire hip hop artiste. Along with his grind, Jayz will still find time to engage in social justice efforts by increasing job training for former prisoners in addition to fostering quality and fairness in the development of the legal marijuana industry, with Caliva.
JayZ now joins fellow rapper Snoop Dogg in the rapidly growing cannabis industry, who has his own weed brand, “Leafs by Snoop.”
