Odell Beckham Jr. Debuts New Look At ESPYS

The annual Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards, also known as the ESPY’s, was held last night. Several A list celebrities rocked the red carpet. Stars like Dwayne Wade, Elle Fanning, Usher and even the host of the show, Tracy Morgan, came dressed to impress. Still, social media could not get enough of football player, Odell Beckham Jr’s outfit, as he wore what looked like a Prada, khaki backpack vest and shorts, also debuting his new haircut.

Moving on to the ceremony, it held the audience’s attention with several jokes from Tracy Morgan in his opening monologue. There were also some touching speeches from all of last night’s winners. Some of the night’s winners included, Drew Brees for Best Record-breaking Performance, Patrick Mahomes for Best NFL Player, Giannis Antetokounmpo who won Best NBA Player and Best Male Athlete, Alex Morgan for Female Athlete, Serena Williams for Best Female Tennis Player and Best College Athlete to Zion Williamson.

However, one of the biggest awards of the night went to former Celtics NBA star, Bill Russell who was awarded the ESPYS Arthur Ashe Courage Award, by Kobe Bryant. Kobe delivered a powerful, heartwarming speech about the Hall of Famer, who was also given a video montage tribute showing Samuel L. Jackson reading his book “Go Up For Glory” and President Barack Obama who presented him with the Medal of Freedom in 2011.

Though the 80 year-old did not utter a word after receiving the award, he received a standing ovation from the audience.
