All roads lead to the Hamptons this weekend, as President Trump prepares for a big fundraising event. The event will be hosted by Billionaire Stephen Ross. After Ross was announced as the host of the prestigious fundraiser at his residence in the Hamptons, “all hell broke loose.”
Ross, who happens to be the owner of Miami Dolphins, Soul Cycle and Equinox, is now facing backlash from liberals, many of whom are threatening to boycott his brands. Stephen Ross is not the only business man facing backlash for supporting the Trump Campaign. This past week, after a list of 44 businessmen was shared on Twitter by Texas Democrat, Joaquin Castro, there was immediate backlash.

Republicans are calling for this to stop and some have accused Joaquin Castro of inciting “donor harassment “. This list has caused serious uproar as many see support for Trump as “supporting a racist ” Celebrities like Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter to protest,
While some donors are turned off by the harassment and phone calls, accusing them of being racists, others stand firm, maintaining their constitutional rights to fund raise and support whichever candidate they choose.
The biggest casualty in all this, is Stephen Ross, who many are now accusing of being a racist for throwing his money behind Donald Trump! People have taken to Instagram and Twitter to post their gym membership cancellation forms.
Ross has since issued a statement in light of the backlash:
“I have always been an active participant in the democratic process. I have known Donald Trump for 40 years, and while we agree on some issues, we strongly disagree on many others and I have never been bashful about expressing my opinions.”
Get ready Hamptons, it’s about to go down!
