A$AP Rocky has been found guilty of assault in Sweden. The American rapper along with members of his entourage,Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers, were found guilty.

A$AP was not present in the court room when the verdict was handed down. The good news is, he is no longer required to serve additional jail time, as he spent a month in jail after the incident occurred.

We reported last month that Rocky was charged with “assault causing actual bodily harm” and if convicted could spend a minimum of 2 years in prison. Well it appears that no further prison time is needed. However, the American rapper will have to pay the victims for damages.

“The assault has not been of such a serious nature that a prison sentence must be chosen,” the court said in a statement. “The defendants are therefore sentenced to conditional sentences.”

Though Rocky was released along with his two companions and they were allowed to return to the United States a few weeks ago, they were awaiting a verdict from the Swedish court. The verdict is guilty, even though they all plead not guilty and said they acted in self defense. However, according to a statement issued by the Swedish authorities,
“The assault has not been of such a serious nature that a prison sentence must be chosen,” the court said in a statement. “The defendants are therefore sentenced to conditional sentences.”

We are just happy that A$AP is not going back to jail and he can move on and continue with his life. This is what he had to say this past weekend at a music festival in California,

“That was a scary, humbling experience, but I’m here right now.”
