What can I say? Neon colors are back! Last spring, we saw the reign of the neutral tones like the tans and browns. Spring 2024 is coming in bold, as it relates to ladies’ fashion. Some neutral tones are still around, like sage green and lilacs. However, bright greens, purple, neon pink, neon green, and bold red are taking over the runway and taking us all the way into summer. I feel like it is really going to be a “hot girl” summer. At least for me.
This spring designers are bringing back the 80s, and it is all about showcasing our femininity and maintaining your sex appeal. Don’t be too hasty to empty your closet and replace your clothing, as off the shoulder dresses, crop tops, pencil skirts, cargo pants, and wide-leg pants aren’t going anywhere. The shift is mostly about color, in particular, bright colors.
WHAT CAN YOU WEAR IN BRIGHT COLORS THIS SPRING?
Everything… Here are some examples:
- Handbags
- Earrings
- Shoes – flats, pumps
- Top
- Dress
- T-Shirts
- Light cardigans
HIGH-RISE TROUSERS
High-rise trousers are not going away anytime soon. I am happy as it is my favorite type of trousers that flatters my shape and the tummy. In some cases, high-rise trousers give the illusions of longer legs.
CROP TOPS
Crop tops are still hot. Long sleeves, short-sleeve, and arm-hole in neon colors are quite popular this season. They are also very affordable and versatile. It can be worn with shorts, trousers, pencil skirts and long skirts. My favorite look is a corset crop top with baggy pants.
OVERSIZE BLAZERS
Oversize blazers with shorts or jeans worn with a crop top inside is also in season. Whether this is paired with sneakers, flats, or pumps, you can make a fashion statement without breaking the bank, as every girl has a brother, father, boyfriend, or husband with an oversized jacket.
THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS
Don’t forget the timeless star of the wardrobe, “your little black dress.” It never fails. This can be accessorized however your wish. As it relates to spring 2024, wear it with your neon accessories, such as earrings, bags, or flats. It never goes out of style!
