If you are a frequent flyer like I am, you might agree that the consistent struggle we face is what to include in our hand luggage. This is particularly true for me when I have a connecting flight. For many of us, 2024 will be hectic for travel.
A must-have hand luggage “travel essential” for me is a large tote bag and a carry-on. I want to squeeze as much of my valuables as I can into these two bags so that I can survive for 7 days if my luggage gets lost.
Here are my top picks for the “must-have ” items for my carry-on and tote bag:
- Toiletries
- Makeup bag (1 lipsgloss, eyeliner, cleanser, foundation, and powder)
- 1 longsleeve shirt (white or black)
- 1 black leggings/tights
- 1 black dress
- 2 T-shirts – Black and White
- Tank top – Black or Khaki
- 7 underwears
- Short black skirt
- Swimsuit
- Dress slippers/sandals
- Travel in your sneakers that can be worn with a tights and a dress. If it is winter in your country, wear your coat to travel.
- Wear your jewelry to travel or put extras in your handbag
If you have room in your carry-on for a pair of jeans, please include.
Once you have all of the above in your carry-on luggage, you are good for 7 days . If your check-in luggage arrives at the same time as you, consider it a bonus.
