Hey Friends ❤️
Have you ever taken medication that once worked, but it no longer works? Perhaps the doctor had to adjust the dosage or change the medication completely.
Or maybe you had to stop wearing a dress that was once your favorite because it no longer fit you—or you simply didn’t like the way it looked on you anymore.
Well, that’s life.
You May Have Outgrown the Life You Prayed For.
There are things, people, places, opportunities, and even dreams that were once absolutely right for us.
They served us.
They blessed us.
They may have even been the answer to a prayer.
But that does not mean they are meant to remain in our lives forever.
And I think this is where many of us struggle.
We feel guilty for outgrowing something we once prayed so hard to receive.
You prayed for the job, so how can you possibly want to leave it?
You prayed for the relationship, so how can you admit that it no longer feels right?
You prayed for the opportunity, the home, the business, the friendship, or the lifestyle—and now something inside of you is saying, “It’s time for something different.”
That does not make you ungrateful.
It may simply mean you have grown.
Sometimes an answered prayer is meant for a season, not a lifetime.
What once helped you become who you are may not be capable of carrying you into who you are becoming.
And there is nothing wrong with honoring what something meant to you while also acknowledging that its season may be complete.
Gratitude does not require permanent attachment.
You can say:
“Thank you for what this gave me.”
“Thank you for what I learned here.”
“Thank you for who I became because of this.”
And still have the courage to move forward.
Too many people remain in places they have outgrown because they confuse gratitude with obligation.
But you do not have to stay somewhere simply because it was once good.
A dress can once have been your favorite and still no longer fit.
A medication can once have helped you and still need to be changed.
And a life can once have been everything you prayed for—and still no longer be the life you are meant to live.
TODAY’S POWER MOVE
Ask yourself:
What am I holding onto because I feel guilty admitting that I have outgrown it?
Then give yourself permission to be grateful for what was without feeling guilty about wanting what is next.
TODAY’S POWER LINE
You may have outgrown the life you prayed for. An answered prayer can complete its purpose without becoming your permanent destination.
Honor the blessing.
Honor the lesson.
And when the season is over, have the courage to move.
With love,
Basia ❤️
P.S. Growth does not make you ungrateful. Sometimes the greatest way to honor what God has already done is to trust Him with what comes next.
